Thanksgiving is an important date in many countries. It’s a time to celebrate gratitude with those you care about. And more than a plentiful table and delicious dishes, it is a moment of reflection and recognition of what is really important in your life.
The Meaning of Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It’s a time to be with family and friends, to celebrate gratitude, relax and share your favorite dishes. It’s time to give thanks for all the achievements and rewarding moments that took place during the year. Many thank God in prayer, and others simply say thank you.
And before you ask me, yes, it’s a holiday with plentiful tables and delicious meals, a temptation for anyone in the process of weight loss and dietary re-education. But it must be said that you can celebrate and eat what you feel like this day, with common sense and moderation. The idea of losing weight is to do it with conscious and intelligent choices. You don’t need to deprive yourself of celebrating with your family just because you’re trying to lose weight.
Otherwise, use this day to focus on gratitude. It is this feeling that revolutionizes our lives, because the more we are grateful for something, the more our focus is on what is really important to us, and more of these situations will arise in our daily lives.
The Power of Gratitude in My Weight Loss Process
How important it is to recognize our achievements and be grateful for all things! I would like to take this article to also leave my thanks.
As you can see here on the blog, from the beginning, my life was not easy: I lost my mother early, I lost my first husband in a car accident in which I was also a victim (I spent many months in the hospital and for a year in a wheelchair), I had to raise a small daughter by myself still recovering from the after-effects of the accident. In addition, I had a long journey of weight loss and body definition, which was painful and exhausting.
More than collecting problems in my life – and, after all, problems everyone has – I learned the value of gratitude. I am very grateful for the lessons learned in the face of so many difficulties. I am grateful for my personal growth. I am grateful for the countries that welcomed me and for the people I met.
I am grateful!
I am very grateful for the people who were part of my weight loss process: friends from the academy who inspire me to this day, health and nutrition professionals, my family and everyone who contributed in some way to this achievement. My work proposal is always to exalt the importance of support and show that you don’t need to be alone in this process.
I am grateful to be able to share my story with you through this blog and for your attention to read it. I am grateful to be able, in some way, to be part of your weight loss process and your life. I am grateful to the people I mentor and for their significant results.
This blog, as well as all the Nelma Jones Method projects (mentoring, support groups, Influence Marketing processes, social media and in the future my book), was something I dreamed of and took a long time to get off the ground. And I am grateful to the entire team of professionals who made this possible.
Above all, on this day, I am grateful for my health, my self-esteem and my beauty. We can always be the best version of ourselves, and just as I’ve had these achievements, so can you. I definitely believe you!
Be grateful every day!
Thanksgiving is to remember and celebrate what we are grateful for. But the idea is to keep us in this vibration every day. Gratitude releases substances that are very important for the well-being of our organism, in addition to giving meaning to all our actions.
In this way, I suggest that you practice gratitude every day, if only for a short time in your day. In a short time, you will feel more peace, willingness and understanding that anything is possible. Practice and tell me in the comments!
