We arrived in the month of October with a very important mission: to fight breast cancer through an awareness movement that involves the struggle of people from all over the world: the Pink October . And you can’t be left out! Check out the tips and be part of this movement!
What is Pink October?
Pink October is a worldwide movement to combat and prevent breast cancer, a date that also promotes awareness among not only women, but companies, health professionals, entities and society as a whole.
It is mine and your day of a necessary fight as well, as breast cancer is the most incident in women in the world, with approximately 2.3 million new cases estimated in 2020, which represents 24.5% of cases new cancers in women. That same year, there were 10 million deaths.
The numbers are even more frightening when we know that breast cancer is curable. If at the time of diagnosis the tumor is less than 1 centimeter (initial stage), the chances of cure reach 95%. Even so, the incidence of deaths is still very high, mainly due to lack of information.
So, this blog could not leave your contribution. Prevention saves lives and we must strive to carry out good tips and encourage all women (and men too, who are 1% victims of the disease, but who have mothers, sisters, daughters and partners).
How to do your part?
It’s not just the month of October that we must take care of ourselves. Pink October is a movement to mobilize and publicize the need for care for the disease. But as prevention is the greatest weapon to prevent deaths, it must be done every month.
I always talk here on the blog about self-esteem and the power of self-love, self-care. Breast cancer prevention falls into this category. Your body’s health should be the foundation of your life, as the body is how we exist on this planet.
To make dreams come true, have children and see them grow, travel, live great relationships, seek professional achievements and everything else that I’m sure you deserve to achieve, you need to be up to date with your health.
Take advantage of this Pink October to create body care strategies. Please help spread this article and the following tips to as many people as possible. Take your medical exams, self-examination and acquire good health habits – see more below.
Cancer Risks Obesity
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), obesity contributes to a higher prevalence of breast cancer. There are many studies that have shown that abdominal obesity (higher concentration of fat in the abdomen) leads to a greater risk of developing various types of cancer, including breast cancer.

It’s a matter of being healthy and having a life full of limitations, pain and a high probability of getting sick. It’s you who chooses! What life do you want for yourself?
