I always tell my female mentors and students – learn more about mentoring here – that it doesn’t matter what exercise you do, but do some exercise every day. My choice was weight training, which I don’t live without in my daily life.
Weight training has great advantages, because it also helps you lose weight quickly, eliminates fat that is difficult to reach with aerobic exercises, prevents flaccidity, improves cardiorespiratory conditioning, reduces the amount of fat, helps you lose weight, reduces the risk of diabetes, increases autonomy in the elderly, and ensures more physical disposition.

1) Do weight training from the beginning of your weight loss journey
One of the things that made me lose 40 kilos, 15 of them in the first month alone, was weight training. Even though I was very overweight, I went to the gym with my face and courage, my right to be healthy and lose weight. In the beginning, it was difficult.
But weight training has become a lifestyle, it has prevented flabbiness and made me stronger. That is why I recommend that those who are beginning their weight loss journey go to the gym every day since the beginning of the process.
2) Prefer aerobics after weight training
You can intersperse aerobic exercises with weight training. The results are great. But recently some experts have released studies about doing aerobics after weight training to improve performance even more. That’s a great tip!
3) Have a balanced diet to boost your results
It is 70% of success in weight loss and essential for bodybuilding. For this type of exercise you need energy (complex carbohydrates) and lots of protein, as well as vitamin-rich foods.
Create an eating plan based on bodybuilding. Talk to a nutritionist or study more about it. The tip is to eat smaller portions (to be able to lose weight), more meals during the day, and with the right foods. And don’t forget the water.
4) Get inspired by someone!
This was essential for me to lose 40 kilos in my life. In the beginning, I would go to the gym even though I was very overweight and I would watch the most successful and well-conditioned people. I have learned a lot by choosing who to be inspired by and using examples to my advantage. I’ll do the test for you too! Also, research, work, study bodybuilding.
5) Do it even when you don’t feel like it
One of the secrets of adult life is to do what needs to be done, not just what you feel like doing at the moment. Do you want results in your weight loss with bodybuilding? Understand that you will only achieve success by being consistent and doing exercises every day. Trade momentary pleasures, laziness, and the comfort zone for what you need to do to lose weight. Every choice has its rewards, but also its renunciations.
