When creating weight loss strategies, it is important to keep an eye on food labels and compositions. Some fattening foods go unnoticed at mealtimes. You might be surprised how there are foods that look healthy but promote weight gain. Others look like slimming villains and can be great allies. So, here are 5 foods that make you fat and you didn’t know.
Beware of the proportion
Before knowing which foods are fattening and no one suspects, know that it is possible to consume everything in moderation and that very restrictive diets do not work.
Of course, the first step of those who want to lose weight is to reduce the portions and choose those that offer the most benefits without interfering with the weight, also choosing those that nourish and give mood. Everything makes you fat and everything helps you lose weight. It’s how you consume that counts.

1) Ready sauces
Those industrialized sauces you love to put on your salad help you gain weight. In its composition, there is saturated fat, preservatives, dyes, transgenic components and a lot of sodium, which helps to retain liquid. It may even be delicious, but it’s bad. The same can be said of canned foods. Prefer to make your sauces at home with lemon, honey, fresh seasonings, peppers (if you prefer), olive oil, avocado and other natural ingredients.
2) White flour among the fattening foods
It’s not just bread that causes you to acquire mainly abdominal fat. These are all foods that contain white flour (including some sauces). Cookies, cakes, mayonnaise and other condiments, soups and other foods may contain white flour. Keep an eye! I simply cut white flour many years ago from my diet.
3) Gourmet coffees
Natural coffee is delicious and can be consumed in moderation. However, think twice about ordering that creamy gourmet coffee. Some have ingredients such as whipped cream, condensed milk, sugar and butter. Prefer the natural version. A simple coffee multiplied by every day of the year makes a difference on the scale.
4) Ready juices
The juices you buy thinking they’re a healthier version of soda are actually full of sugar, sodium, preservatives, coloring and little of the original fruit juice. The same is true of industrialized teas. Prefer water and natural juices, in moderation, of more citrus and light fruits. Make the teas you like best at home.
5) Red meat
Many people who go to the gym bet on protein consumption to have more energy and increase lean mass. One of the types of protein is red meat. However, even on a low carb diet, some types of meat are not indicated due to the amount of fat. Prefer lighter cuts and reduced consumption, as meat is an inflammatory food.
